The local produce

Warning, this section is especially for gourmets! You have been warned …

Visiting a city without making your taste buds tingle is not a visit worthy of the name. Make a point, therefore, of going out and discovering our local producers and farmers and enjoy the local specialities.

What could be more logical than starting with an aperitif? The micro-brewery the Brasse-Temps invites you to try a fair selection of beers brewed on-site, from the famous « Cuvée des Trolls » to the beer known as the Cherry Season «Temps des Cerises» by way of the New White Beer «Blanche-Neuve» and the «Ambrasse-Temps». Can’t decide? Order a Rafale which allows you to taste 4 types of beer in small tasting glasses.

And if you’re looking for exclusivity in beer terms, get yourself a Wark, the only lager beer produced by the micro-brewery « Tête Chargée » in Limelette or the one of the family brewery "Ottignies".

For those with a sweet tooth, there are two essential places to go mainly, but not only, in summer! Taste the multitude of ice cream flavours at Carette’s and if the weather isn’t great, this ice cream parlour will transform it into a fabulous milk shake that you can eat with a pancake to warm you up.

For a healthier snack , the Pinchart strawberries are harvested from May to September and are reputedly the best in the region. Out of season, the fruit is transformed into delicious jams, syrups and liqueurs. Besides strawberries, the « Délices de Pinchart » offer raspberries, asparagus, soil-grown chicory and other local produce in their small shop at the side of the fields.
