Discovery tour via QR Codes

Take your smart-phone or tablet and explore our must-see places at your own rhythm…

34 QR Codes have been placed at city sights (27 in Louvain-la-Neuve and 7 in Ottignies). Each new scanned code connects to a web interface which provides information, images, videos and audio files on the place, its history, architecture, etc.

The Inforville Tourist Information Offices rents out tablets to enable visitors who do not have them to follow the tour. This system replaces the traditional audio guides.

For an optimal use of the route function, don’t forget to share your location in order to be geo-localised!

What is a QR Code ?

A QR ("Quick Response ") code is a little black square on a white background which you see more and more around you, for example on advertising boards. It connects you to an internet page, a map, explicative text or multimedia content.

What is the advantage of a QR code ?

It’s easy and quick to use. It is scanned simply by using a "QR code reader" reading app which can be downloaded, usually for free, on your smart-phone or tablet via the device’s appstoreTM or playstoreTM.

How do they work ?

There are dozens of reading apps. Download one for free and open it. Then scan the QR Code with your smart-phone or tablet’s camera and it is automatically detected.
And there you are on the page of the site you’re visiting !
